B.A. Carroll, Artistic Director

B.A. Carroll is a multifaceted musician/artist who, over the years, has produced, conducted, written, and recorded music for such well-known companies as Ford Motor Company, General Foods Inc., Dow Chemical Corporation, Unocal 76 Oil Corporation, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He has worked for various entertainment production companies where he functioned as a producer and director for domestic and international productions on cruise ships, theme parks, and for corporate clients. His soundtracks for professional productions have been heard accompanying singers in live productions from Asia to Europe, and even at the White House Easter Egg Roll!

While working as a professional musician, Mr. Carroll was honored to have the opportunity to share his love of music with high school-aged students. Eventually, he made a decision to become a certified and credentialed music educator while continuing to pursue professional music projects. Mr. Carroll is an avid educator and has been a clinician for several major school music organizations, including the Illinois Music Educator’s Association and the National High School Institute of Music at Northwestern University.

Mr. Carroll moved to Burbank in 2002 after six successful years teaching at Mundelein High School in the Chicago area. At Mundelein High School, his show choirs, concert choirs, and vocal jazz ensembles were awarded multiple perfect scores at IHSA State competitions and were state finalists and champions five out of six years. As a sought-after designer and choreographer for nationally-competitive high school show choirs in the Midwest, he won multiple awards for choreography and show design. While pursuing his music education degree, he was Associate Conductor of the Oakland Chorale and Chorus at Oakland University. Mr. Carroll studied Commercial Music at Millikin University and Music Education at Oakland University, with graduate studies in Choral Conducting at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Mr. Carroll is currently the Director of Vocal Music at Burbank High School in Burbank where he oversees a department of eight choral ensembles who, in the past 10 years, have gained a national reputation as one of the finest high school choral programs in the country.
