Join us in kicking off our 40th season with our holiday concert! We could not be happier to be back at Zipper Concert Hall for this concert.

There is no better way to get in the holiday spirit than attending our annual holiday concert. This year’s concert is focused around the various joys of the holidays. Our perfect balance between some new arrangements, treasured favorites, and even a mashup of favorite classics set to decade-themed music will fill you with the holiday spirit!

We will skip our cherished annual Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus sing-along, but are looking forward to being able to safely perform it next year!

This passionate and committed community chorus sings to our fullest potential in each performance, producing music of the highest possible caliber every time we take the stage, to fulfill our mission statement, “Our quality musicianship, engaging choral performances, and inclusive environment unite LGBTQ and Ally singers to celebrate diversity, inspire equality, and build a community of acceptance.”

JOIN US FOR OUR 38TH SEASON
VIRTUAL SPRING CONCERT!

INSPIRE! Courage, Hope, & Change!

Saturday, May 29 through
Sunday, June 6, till Midnight!

Enjoy on YouTube!

We are excited to be invited back into your homes with our 2nd virtual performance to close out our 38th season! Although we are not able to be together in person, we know this concert’s message will speak to you. The West Coast Singers have all been experiencing the power of the lyrics about Courage, Hope and Change, while rehearsing and recording this beautiful music for you, our treasured audience.

As you know, last year’s Spring Concert was cancelled along with so much of the activity of all of our lives. We are so proud to bring this music to you now. It is centered around the central theme of INSPIRE! Courage, Hope, & Change!, the focus of the message of our three commissioned pieces. It might be a year later, but after all the challenges and struggles we lived through last year, we can’t think of a more powerful concert to share. It still resonates as it speaks to many of the feelings we are still experiencing. In our first commissioned piece, “Find Your Courage,” the lyrics instruct us to “Find the strength that lies within your heart to make it to that day!” These themes resound with many of us in these current times. We cannot wait to share our music again with you.

Please join us for the YouTube premiere of our Spring virtual concert at 7:00pm PDT:

After tonight’s release, the concert will be viewable until Sunday, 6/6/21.

This concert is, again, FREE for one and all, just as was our holiday concert. We are thrilled to accept your donations of any amount, large or small, but it is not required. We could not exist without our generous donors and sponsors. These donations help us continue to make inspiring music that promotes equity for LGBTQ+ and all people that are marginalized, and to bring more productions like this to our loyal audience members. You can donate on this website under the DONATE tab, through Venmo (@WCSla), or through the mail (West Coast Singers, PO Box 46825, West Hollywood, CA 90046).

If you haven’t had a chance to see what we’ve done this past year, visit our YouTube channel to view the virtual performances of our second commissioned piece, “Hope Will Lead Me Through Another Day,” and “Silent Night,” both from our 2020 holiday concert.

On behalf of the chorus and the Board of Directors, we send you our continued love and hope for a healthy and safe 2021! See you again very soon.

Spring auditions are now open for all voice parts and the beauty of another virtual season is that we are not limited by distance and time. If you have any loved ones or friends interested in joining us for this season, please have them email for info! Interested singers should have some choral experience, be able to maintain/match pitch, willing to attend weekly rehearsals, able to practice on your own with rehearsal part recordings if needed, and be open to having fun.

Auditions will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in a private Zoom room. If needed, we can make special arrangements if that night does not work with your schedule–just ask.

Spring rehearsals begin on Monday, 1/25/21, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Attend when you can, listen to rehearsal recordings, and practice/sing along with the performance audio tracks. Our goal is to have as many of you participate as possible in our next virtual concert. So if you haven’t sung with us in a while, now’s a perfect time to come back! WCS alumni, regardless of how many years ago you sang with us, can return without having to re-audition.

Tidings of Joy! A Virtual Concert

Saturday, December 19 at 7 PM
Sunday, December 20 at 3 PM

Enjoy on YouTube!

Our first virtual performance, Tidings of Joy (which was free to everyone) was a huge success!

Thank you on behalf of WCS LGBTQ+ Chorus of Los Angeles for helping make our concert a hit. We had over 2000 households view the concert! Happy New Year! We hope your holidays were peaceful and you and your loved ones continue to stay safe through the pandemic. We have done whatever possible to keep the Chorus and our community together while preserving our ability to start again stronger next year, in person, when it is safe.

Thank you to those that made donations before, during, and after the concert! If you have not already made a donation, perhaps you would consider making one today. Your gift helps keep our music and message alive. DONATE NOW

We are planning another virtual season and invite you to join us. We will announce the schedule soon with dates and details! After everything we learned this past fall, it is going to be even more ambitious! Building off our holiday show’s success, we will hold our spring cabaret event and spring concert virtually, present all three commissioned pieces virtually and plan to surpass our holiday viewership. We hope you are as excited as we are!

If you haven’t had a chance to see what we’ve done this past year, visit our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGz59OfiIPWjg8n5rppxHxw/videos) to view the virtual performances of our second commissioned piece, Hope Will Lead Me Through Another Day, and Silent Night from our 2019 holiday concert.
